Franz Waxman's score for the 1962 movie "Taras Bulba" featured this exhilarating "Ride of the Cossacks" in which Taras Bulba, played by Yul Brynner, and his fellow cossacks gallop to Dubno. It was splendidly played by the fabulous hand-picked John Wilson Orchestra as an encore at the 2013 "Hollywood Rhapsody" Proms Concert in London's Royal Albert Hall, to an ecstatic audience of 6,000 prommers.
