*TRIVIA!: Did you know that Telemann had a passion for flora? Telemann wrote that he was "insatiable for hyacinths and tulips, avid for ranunculi and above all for anemones". Further evidence for this taste is to be found in a letter sent to him by Handel in 1750: "I am sending you a crate of flowers which the connoissuers of these plants assure me are very choice and of delightful rarity. If they are speaking the truth, you will have the finest plants in all of England."
