Description on Youtube:
Thibaut Garcia plays the reflective Sacrificio, written for the 1965 film La frontera de Dios by Spanish composer Regino Sainz de la Maza. Discover his album Aranjuez: https://w.lnk.to/araLY This piece, like certain others of the album, draws on an earlier era: it is an adaptation of a guitar piece from the 18th century, the lyrical Leçon by Fernando Sor. It is one of four smaller works by this composer featured in this program alongside the Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo, Musique de cour by Alexandre Tansman, and Suite pour guitare (A Minor) by Robert de Visée.
