J.L.Dussek: String Quartet op.60 no.3in E flat major - 4th mov.: Finale. Allegro moderato
Description on Youtube:
Although the Czech composer Jan Ladislav Dussek (1760-1812) is (unfortunately hardly) known for his piano compositions, however, his chamber music is also worth beeing rediscoved. Especially the String Quartets op. 60 have an exceptional position: They are his only chamber music without the piano. The third quartet of the opus 60, also composed in 1806, is the best of the opus 60 and is on one level with the best Beethoven Quartets. The second movement is maybe best one of the whole corpus; and another proof of the quality is the Menuetto. Dussek used this artful movement, almost unchanged, again as for the third part in the piano sonata op.64.
