The University of Arizona Collegium Musicum Early Music Ensemble presents their Spring 2012 concert, conducted by Greg Silverman. Vocal soloists: Mary Uhrig, Rebecca Dixon, Tom Tompkins, Caleb Nihira, Ed Moore, and Jane Perlee. Translations 1. Alles was ihr tut (Colossians 3:17) All that you do, with words or with deeds, do all this in the Name of Jesus and give thanks to God and the Father through Him. 2. Dir Höchster (author unknown) To You, O Highest, to You alone Most, Most High, to You only Do I want to sacrifice my senses, strength, and desires. May everything, in fulfillment of all duty, Be directed solely to Your praise. Help me play, shout, and sing; Lift out hearts heavenward, Let them rejoice who can rejoice, Let all the instruments ring out. May everything, in fulfillment of all duty, Be directed solely to Your praise. Father, help us for Jesus's sake; Let our praise be worthy And penetrate into heaven In order to fulfill our desires, So that Your heart, in accordance with paternal duty, Might contribute to our salvation. 3. Habe deine Lust am Herrn (Psalm 37:4) Delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. 4. Gott will ich lassen raten (Georg Niege) I want to let God, who can do all things, counsel me. May He bless my deeds, my intentions, and my actions. For I have entrusted to Him my body, my soul, my life, and whatever else He has given me; Let Him do with it as He pleases. To that I say, "Amen" and I have no doubt: God will let us all be pleasing to Him. Therefore I reach out my hand and joyfully set about the work For which God has ordained me in my profession and class.
