In this video you can hear the "Toccata avanti la Messa delli Apostoli", taken from "Fiori musicali" by Girolamo Frescobaldi, Italian composer, organist and harpsichordist born in Ferrara in 1583 and died in Rome in 1643. "Fiori musicali" is a collection of liturgical pieces for organ, first published in 1635 and comprising three Masses and two Caprices on secular melodies. In particular, what I propose in this video is a "toccata" taken from "Missa degli Apostoli". The organ that you can hear and see is the magnificent Callido-Sgritta, Church of Saints Faustino and Giovita, Sarezzo (BS, Italy). Good listening!
