Frederic Rzewski's "The People United Will Never Be Defeated" was performed by Eriko Nagai, piano, during her final Master's Degree recital at Stony Brook University, May 11, 2009. Rzewski based this piece with its 36 variations on the popular (Sergio Ortega) Chilean chant for social justice: http://youtu.be/BBe8nVXhGhc
