Songs of the Sky

"Songs of the Sky - for piano and strings was commissioned by and written for pianist Natalya Pasichnyk. The piece is based on two folk songs; one from the Ukraine and one from Sweden. Both songs are in some way related to the sky. The Ukranian song is about a a dove with blue and grey wings and the Swedish song is called "Klara stjärnor" which means "bright stars". - Andrea Tarrodi Pianist: Natalya Pasichnyk First performance of "Songs of the Sky - for piano and strings" as part of the music festival "Rethinking Europe: Ukraine".
