Another version of 'Gaite Parisienne', a one-act ballet to music by Offenbach, arranged by Manuel Rosenthal. Choreography by Leonide Massine and Etienne de Beaumont. The ballet is set in Grand Cafe Tortoni in Paris.
The Baron - Artem Shpilevsky, The Glove Seller - Marianna Ryzhkina, with Denis Medvedev as The Peruvian, who arrives on the scene carrying two carpetbags full of jewellery. He bounds onto the stage with lively staccato movements which perfectly express the high spirits of the ebullient salesman. With artists of the Bolshoi Ballet.
