Flute Concerto

*Update on Sep.29, 2019* After more than a week now, I am still trying to grasp and digest the fact that Christopher Rouse has passed away. ⠀ ⠀ It has been a tremendous honor having him in my life and performing his Flute Concerto several times. We have been in close touch since 5-6 years ago and especially in his last weeks we talked a lot. Even though he told me about his spine cancer that he had been fighting in the last few years, it still got me totally off guard when I heard the news of his passing. As I look back, he even wrote to me from Baltimore a few days before, saying goodbye in his own way but I was not sensitive enough to realize that was it. So in a way I didn’t get to say a proper goodbye to him. Instead, I will just play this masterpiece Flute Concerto more often and remember him with more people out there.
