The first performance of the complete Shires Suite by Sir Michael Tippett, written for the Leicestershire Schools Symphony Orchestra between 1965 and 1970. Recorded in Cheltenham Town Hall on July 8th 1970. The LSSO and the Schola Cantorum of Oxford are conducted by the composer.
