Czech composer Jan Vaclav Hugo Vorisek (1791-1825) was a pupil of Tomasek and Hummel. The latter considered him his best student. He was a contemporary of Beethoven, who praised his Rhapsodies. He died penniless at the age of 34 after a lengthy illness.
