See how the dog is prowling in the grass! He seeks the scent upon the ground, then follows it relentlessly. Now, maddened by excitement, he is deaf to all commands. He races towards his prey ... then stops and stands as motionless as a stone. To escape his approaching foe, the timid bird flies up into the air, but swift flight cannot save him. A flash, a bang, the bullet reaches him, and hurls him, dead, to the ground.
