Sisters Beatrice and Christina Long are winners of the First Prize and the Award to the Best Performance of American Music in the Ellis Duo Competition sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs. At
their last appearance in Charleston, the Post and Courier said: "the Long Duo defines cohesiveness of purpose, absolute accuracy of execution and a near-spiritual transparency." Their performances have been
broadcast on National Public Radio, CBC (Canada), WRR (Dallas), Philharmonic Radio (Taiwan) and Radio France.
The duo who records for the Dorian Sono Luminus label has performed in such venues as Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center, the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Phillips Gallery in Washington D.C., Dallas Museum of Art, Wu-Hang Music Hall and Sheng-Yang Conservatory in China, Irene Besse Hall in Canada and the National Music Theatre in Taipei. Separately, both Beatrice and Christina have enjoyed distinguished solo careers. A top prize winner of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, Beatrice has performed in Asia, Europe, and throughout the Americas. Christina, artist-in-residence at Southeast Oklahoma University,
records for the Centaur Label and has appeared in festivals across Europe and the U.S.A.
