Parts 1-5: Miserere mei, Deus Ecce enim Ecce enim veritatem Asperges me Auditui meo dabis Although E.T.A Hoffmann is best known for his famous literary works, such as the Kreisleriana, Fantasiestucke, Nachtstucke, etc. which inspired Robert Schumann and other great composers such as P.I Tchaikovsky (who wrote the Nutckracker ballet on the basis of Hoffmann's famous story), Hoffmann was also in love with music all his life, as his inspired writings show, both literary and musical.
