Ozan Marsh's recording (printed but rare edition) is one of a kind. Mr Marsh was sent frequent revisions by Kabalevsky during the frequent tours of this piece with the Boston Pops, Boston Symphony and other orchestras during many engagements of this piece in the 1960's on tour. Here is the final revision of Dmitri Kabalevsky. Ozan Marsh was invited to play this piece on tour in the USSR in 1980, on a tour spanning 11,000 miles, including several orchestral engagements of this piece concluding at Tchaikowsky Hall Moscow in January 1980. The composer was trilled with the interpretation of Ozan Marsh and was at the podium during this concert tour, one of the last classical tours of the former Soviet Union featuring a foreign artist.
