Written in the final year of her life, Lili Boulanger's "D'un matin de printemps" is a masterful tone poem conveying the pleasure and promise of a spring morning. Boulanger was the first woman to win the Prix de Rome for composition in 1913, but her career was tragically cut short when she passed away at age 24.
