Rautavaara's Apotheosis
Descripción en Youtube:
This 4th Movement from Rautavaara's 6th Symphony is based on his opera, "Vincent" written not long ago about the tragedy of Vincent Van Gogh. Most of us should know about the man, his paintings and his goal about trying to get "normal people" to see the world in his perspectives through his paintings and to find our own interpretations of both nature and lifestyles. Like composers, artists like Van Gogh suffers the neglect and lack of understanding from the public therfore being ridiculed and sentence to being commited to an asylum, though the ironic behavior of cutting his ear or setting one of his hands on fire didn't help much to illustrate his point. Here in this movement is more positive and uplifting revealing pictures that I am sharing (both from the Internet and personnels) has nothing to do with the composition, but merely had a respected inversion of beauty that the legendary painter may had in mind had he lived longer. Notwithstanding, I longed to share this remarkable piece to all that can enjoy 21st century music that is not always dissonant or eccentric, to which Rautavaara has mastered color and beauty in his penmanship. I hope that you will purchase this NAXOS cd that includes his Manhattan Trilogy and his epical 8th Symphony titled "The Journey" conducted by Pietiri Inkinen and performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Most videos only put one picture to hear and audio track, so I hope that I helped classical music by showing more idealistic views that may help the composition to be more interesting. Comment me if you wish on adding suggestions repectfully and please enjoy the conceptual production!
