The orchestra consists of 100 people who are not really professional musicians but developed their musical skills alongside their professional career plans such as engineers, economists, sociologists and many more. Alongside their classes at the university, the students spend considerable amount of their time for the orchestra both voluntarily and in discipline. Bosphorus Philharmonic Orchestra has given concerts with world-renowned pianist Hüseyin Sermet as well as collaborated with IKSV and Borusan Sanat that are two of the most important cultural foundations in Turkey.
