Among the great composer / director partnerships of the cinema were the collaborations that Bernard Herrmann enjoyed with Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles. A 'Film Music Night' during the 2011 Proms Season in London's Royal Albert Hall began with Herrmann's 'Main Title Prelude' to "The Man Who Knew Too Much" and also the Overture from the Suite "Welles Raises Kane." The BBC Concert Orchestra was conducted by Keith Lockhart.
