"Sonatina Festivo" is a three-movement work for flute and piano. The idea for this sonatina came about after playing much flute repertoire in my previous workplace.
As the title suggests, this sonatina describes various moods during the festive season. The first movement depicts a lively and jovial atmosphere, with lots of dancing and merry- making. The second movement depicts a lonely person drowning his sorrows in alcohol, thinking of home. The last movement is a mix-meter piece, depicting Middle Eastern people in colourful costumes dancing in the town square.
