Awazu on a Fine Breezy Day is part of a larger work: Omi Hakkei, depicting scenic views of Omi by Lake Biwa, near Kyoto, Japan. Bun-Ching Lam comments: "These views have been immortalized by the woodblock prints of Hiroshige, whose work was very much influenced by Chinese landscape paintings."
