This Harpsichord concerto in F minor BWV 1056, performed here by Siebe Henstra and the Netherlands Bach Society, is in a melancholy key. Although the plaintive character is noticeable straight away, the sun does shine through in several places. “The whole concerto hangs together perfectly”, says soloist Siebe Henstra.
Recorded for the project All of Bach on 3rd February 2017 at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Amsterdam. If you want to help us complete All of Bach, please subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/2vhCeFB and consider donating http://bit.ly/2uZuMj5.
