This was my first time performing Fanny's Notturno in G minor at a piano competition (Boston Amateur, 2019). Only one person in the audience had even heard of it before then, so I am glad I was able to introduce so many people to this beautiful piece. There are not many recordings of it on YouTube, so hopefully more people will discover it. I have only worked on the piece for 3 months, so I will likely record it again in the future and see how my interpretation develops over time. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy it, and maybe look into more of the works of Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel. I know I will.
