The Royal Academy of Music orchestra you see and hear in this video was formed specially for this intensive project. Before they started rehearsing in the week of the concert, these players had never performed together as an ensemble in this configuration. After six hours of sectional rehearsals taken by leading London-based orchestral specialists, the orchestra had one day of rehearsals with Sir Mark culminating in this live streamed concert on Friday 7th March 2014.
