The central work at the inaugural Southwell Music Festival was Haydn’s The Creation performed in Southwell Minster on Saturday 23 August. The performers were Sophie Bevan (soprano), Andrew Staples (tenor) and Ashley Riches (bass) with the Southwell Festival Voices and Southwell Festival Sinfonia conducted by Marcus Farnsworth. This is the last of 12 highlights from the 2014 Southwell Music Festival which are being published sequentially to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas 2014.
