ALBOKA, one of the most established and representative Basque folk groups, is led by Joxan Goikoetxea (accordion)and Alan Griffin (alboka and flutes) with a wonderful job of presenting old music, both sung and instrumental, in a new guise, as well as composing new material in a convincingly traditional style.
"Ipar Haizea" is a "ezpatadantza" (sword dance) and was composed by Alan Griffin. Alboka played it at the "Concerti Scaligeri" in Verona (Italy) the 1th of August in 2003.
